The name of a man, who inexplicably is predominantly absent from “alternative” culture. It’s always bewildered me how our generation carries froward the thread of respect for artists such as Led Zeppelin, Miles Davis, Sly Stone etc, but somehow misses Frank. Some would argue that his material wasn’t as accessible (Miles Davis?), but this isn’t true for all his albums. Embedded is a straight forward emotional gripper, with the likes of Tina Turner on backing vocals and George Duke on keys.
